Dr. Shanti Chaudhri is a retired Research Officer from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) at Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj. Born in Prayagraj with family roots in Uttarakhand, she has devoted over five decades to advancing community healthcare. She led pioneering programmes on women's reproductive health in rural Allahabad during the 1980s and 1990s, benefiting thousands of underserved women. A strong advocate of public health education, she was among the first in Uttar Pradesh to use All India Radio and Doordarshan to simplify medical knowledge through interactive programmes with doctors, making reliable healthcare information accessible to the public.
